Micah Kinsler

President

MiCamp Solutions

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Founded: 2007

Industry: Financial Technology

Micah Kinsler created MiCamp Solutions in 2007, picturing a financial technology firm that could offer secure payment processing solutions while helping its customers maximize profits. He opened an office with just four employees. Today, MiCamp is one of the fastest-growing payment companies in the United States.

The company has 20,000 clients worldwide, processes $11 billion a year and works with 500 independent service organizations.

“Whether companies are looking for a new, disruptive global processing platform or machine-learning algorithms to reduce fraud, we have extensive expertise, strong partnerships, proven technologies, and decades of experience to make payment solutions seamless,” the company said.

MiCamp accepts almost any type of payment on the planet, traditional and nontraditional. Those include everything from credit, debit, gift/loyalty, EBT and e-check/ACH payments to Venmo, PayPal, WeChat Pay, Alipay, China UnionPay, SMS text messaging and email, cryptocurrency, Zelle and more. This year, MiCamp plans to launch its own payment gateway called the Mi-Payment Gateway.

Kinsler recently launched MiCamp’s WAVit program, a platform that allows merchants to reduce their credit card processing fees to zero, providing them with significant cost savings — a program that many found essential during the pandemic. To date, WAVit has saved its customers $362 million dollars in processing fees and counting.

An Inc. 5000 entrepreneur, Kinsler is an established leader in the payments space with an entrepreneurial track record. By age 22, he helped release groundbreaking poker software that was licensed and sold to Big World Casino in San Jose, Costa Rica.

At 24, Kinsler became the youngest franchise owner in the history of Inc. 5000. He continues to build his portfolio and invest in brands like Spiritual Gangster, American Junkie, Montauk, Diego Pops, El Hefe, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, Scottsdale City Development and now as a strategic partner in Beam CBD, Lottery.com and HealthNow.

Even with a long track record of success, Kinsler remains grounded and focused on celebrating team accomplishments.

“My team is used to hearing me [say] that at some point, somebody on our team is going to disappoint us,” he said. “I learned this a long time ago with a past employee who I thought would be with my company forever. My grandfather was the one who taught me this and told me to make sure to not take it personally. It is just the nature of people. These are words to live by: Don’t take it personally and always act professionally when dealing with others. We continually celebrate the successes of our team members and really lift them up.”

Kinsler’s career has afforded him the opportunity to give back to the community. He sits on the board for the Navy League of the United States, the Arizona Sports and Entertainment Commission, Grand Canyon State Games, NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl and Youth Assistance Foundation and is on the advisory board for Lottery.com. He also contributes to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Arizona Helping Hands, Hits for Kids, Lori Piestewa National Native American Games, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and numerous youth athletic teams.

The best gift to give Micah Kinsler are Duraflame logs…not kidding. He loves to sit by a fire, smoke a cigar and listen to classical music. This is his happy place.
