Julie Herzog credits her parents with modeling hard work and determination, which allowed her to develop those qualities in her own life and career.
Herzog’s mother was orphaned at age 5 and grew up in foster homes in Berlin. Her father grew up on a farm in Michigan, served in the Army and went to college on a Pell Grant.
“Both were extremely hard workers who were involved and leaders in their local community and business organizations,” Herzog said. “Because of their example, I’ve never questioned my own ability to do hard things.
“In 2022, I leaned into growing my leadership skills through a concerted focus on imparting that inner strength and can-do mindset to others — whether that’s my three children, the attorneys in our firm, my clients or the nonprofit organizations I support. I’ve learned that I truly love to help people grow in ways that work for them and support others in their efforts to achieve success, however they define it.”
Herzog is managing partner at Fortis Law Partners and Full Velocity Consulting. Fortis Law Partners has more than 12 decades of combined experience helping businesses navigate critical future developments. Full Velocity Consulting brings together leaders in accounting, finance, regulatory compliance, operations and more to help guide entrepreneurs through the most complicated aspects of running a successful company.
This is Herzog’s second time on the Titan 100 list.
“Since being named a first-year titan in 2020, I have experienced a few recent accomplishments that I’m very proud of,” she said. “However, I’m most excited about completing my Global Speakers Academy training and receiving GSA certification from the exclusive Entrepreneurs’ Organization Global Speakers Academy for my speech ‘What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Stronger: Transform Your Stress Into Success,’ as well as the opportunity to present my own Entrepreneurs’ Organization Nano-Learning Series on ‘How to Attract Investors and Command Top Dollar.’
“Both of these achievements were huge goals that I set for myself and worked extremely hard to achieve in 2022, and both required a lot of time, effort and the courage to step outside of my comfort zone.”
Herzog was a recent recipient of the Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Women in Business award. She was also included in the U.S. News & World Report Best Lawyers list for the third consecutive year and on the Colorado Super Lawyers list and Super Lawyers Top 50 Women list for nine consecutive years. Fortis Law Partners was named on the Denver Business Journal’s Fast 50 list in 2022 for the firm’s 60% growth in revenue over the past three years.
