Riley Walker’s entrepreneurial journey traces back to his formative years in Maine, where he first observed the critical gaps in the traditional educational system. This early exposure ignited a passion within Walker to revolutionize the way education is delivered.

His desire to improve educational outcomes led him to the University of Tampa, where he deepened his understanding of educational challenges and solutions by interacting with leading thinkers and pioneers in education. During this time, Walker helped develop some of the earliest modern-day online learning and gamification curricula for schools throughout the U.S.

In 2020, amidst the unprecedented challenges posed by the global pandemic, Walker founded ryco.io, an educational services company that builds custom content for classrooms, and custom classroom products for K12 publishers.

ryco.io began by providing immediate solutions to pandemic-induced educational challenges but quickly expanded its mission to reshape the educational landscape on a global scale, working with schools in Africa, Central America and here in the U.S.

Under Walker’s visionary leadership, ryco.io developed innovative tools like “rybot,” an AI-driven teaching assistant that automates lesson planning and adapts learning materials to meet individual student needs. Additionally, “ryverse,” a virtual collaborative platform, was launched to foster a community of educators.

Walker’s leadership is characterized by a proactive and problem-solving approach, which is evident in how ryco.io addresses issues such as teacher burnout, educational accessibility and personalized learning. “By focusing on these critical areas, Riley has not only contributed to enhancing the quality of education but has also established new benchmarks for how technology can be utilized to support and advance educational goals,” said his staff.

Walker’s emphasis on creating a nurturing and supportive work environment is exemplified by his policies, such as offering unlimited PTO and fully paid medical insurance, which ensure that his team is well-supported.
