Spending his entire career in the financial industry, Brian Carney and his partner, Jarrett Morris, realized the entire industry was historically transactional and more focused on selling products and investment strategies than answering clients’ most pressing questions.

As the CEO, Carney has been instrumental in growing the company from four to over 20 with a full investment team, four certified financial planners and several client service associates to help accommodate more clients as the firm continues its rapid growth. Investing in the team appears to be working, said Carney, since assets under management have quadrupled since 2018. The firm also expanded by starting a tax and advisory firm to be able to provide tax planning advice to better serve business owners.

Carney is also heavily involved in the community as a mentor for young advisors through the Financial Planning Association of Philadelphia and has been a speaker on various industry issues. The firm has been recognized as one of USA Today’s Best Financial Advisory Firms and received the Delaware Chamber of Commerce Award of Excellence. Additional recognition includes being named one of the CityWire Fastest Growing RIAs in Delaware, but according to Carney, the accomplishment he is most proud of is the growth of the firm.
As a leader, Carney said he relies on visionary thinking, effective communication and inclusive leadership. “In a world filled with intentionally intimidating jargon, my superpower is taking incredibly complex ideas and making them very easy to understand,” he said. “The art of simplicity has been lost in business and I live by the mantra: Complexity is the enemy of execution.”
