Since being named to the Titan 100, Hall of Fame inductee Matthew Tucker has achieved numerous milestones as the CEO of Pegasus Technologies. “The accomplishment that fills me with the greatest pride is the successful implementation of a company-wide profit sharing,” said Tucker. “A longstanding objective of mine has been to cultivate a business environment where every member of our staff can actively participate at a level similar to that of an owner.”

In addition, Tucker was instrumental in introducing the concept of quarterly profit sharing to the team where employees receive distributions based on the company’s success over the trailing three months. To ensure equitable compensation, Tucker devised a matrix that considers three key factors: a portion of equal base compensation for the entire staff, bonuses linked to each individual’s tenure with Pegasus, and recognition based on individual performance in the quarter.

The company’s mission is centered on exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships to become its clients’ trusted internal IT department. By taking the time to understand each client’s unique challenges and goals, the team at Pegasus Technologies creates tailored support strategies for each client.

Under Tucker’s leadership, the firm has completed its inaugural year of an ambitious five-year plan, exceeding benchmarks. Key objectives moving forward include obtaining NIST 800-171 certification, establishing a new office, and achieving substantial financial and staffing growth.

“As the CEO, I am driven by the commitment to the success of every individual within the Pegasus team,” said Tucker. “Recognizing the crucial role of a stellar team in our achievements, I acknowledge that our accomplishments are the cumulative result of the hard work and dedication displayed by each member throughout the years.”

It’s imperative that the leadership and management structures within Pegasus continually evolve, said Tucker. “This vision is fueled by a desire to ensure that when the time comes for me to step away from the helm, the organization is equipped with a robust framework – a framework that empowers those I have worked closely with, mentored and guided to carry the torch into the future,” he said. “Building a successful business is one achievement; however, constructing a company that provides enduring, lifelong careers is a pursuit that resonates deeply with me.”

In a time where business owners may be perceived as solely prioritizing the success of the enterprise, Tucker said he aspires for his legacy to tell a different story. “I want it to reflect that, indeed, we can build a thriving company, but the true differentiator lies in the emphasis placed on the individuals who contribute to its success,” he said.
