In the last two years, Tanya Wilson is most proud of building a community for women in the service trades. “It is rare to find a female leader at the top of a home service company and I make sure that I am using my position to inspire other women to do the same,” said the Titan 100 Hall of Fame inductee. “Having been in the male-dominated industry for 15 years, I’ve always felt the need for a space where women can share their victories, challenges, and everything, so I took it upon myself to create that space.”
In 2017, she launched Priority Pumping, a septic and wastewater pumping company. Wilson also owns a junk removal and hauling service, a business coaching company, and Ladies Kickin’ Ass, a podcast for bold, unapologetic female entrepreneurs in the service industry. She also launched BadAss Inner Circle, a group focused on empowering women to enhance their businesses by learning new, tactical skills to improve performances and embrace their true selves.
“What’s exciting is how these platforms have brought women together, creating a supportive community where we all grow stronger,” said Wilson. “More than business growth, it’s about creating a place where women feel they belong and can be proud of their achievements.”
As the chief executive officer of Priority Pumping, Wilson serves on the National Association of Wastewater Technicians education board and serves as a board member of the AZ Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association, adding her input on various task forces to write new regulations for the industry. She is also launching a book inspired by her podcast to show the impact of women supporting each other.
Wilson said her legacy is about more than achievements – it’s about setting an example of courage, innovation and resilience. “It’s about demonstrating that pursuing your dreams isn’t just a lofty goal but a totally achievable reality,” she said. “I’m showing that living boldly, embracing challenges, and being my authentic self, country girl and all, is not just for the few; it’s possible for anyone willing to take that first step.”
A ripple effect is the perfect metaphor for the journey Wilson is on – creating waves for far beyond the initial impact. “I want this ripple effect to continue, changing family trees, inspiring communities and reshaping industries,” she said. “We will truly never know, in our lifetime, the way our actions will impact generations.”
