Recognizing 100 CEOs & C-level Executives

In his role as the chief executive officer of the National Hispanic Corporate Council (NHCC), a nonprofit organization founded in 1985 dedicated to enhancing corporate performance through effective Hispanic engagement strategies, Eduardo Arabu reignites his passion by elevating the Hispanic and Latino communities around the country.

“My strategy to reignite my own passion for the organization involves supporting our members with the resources to maximize corporate performance and competitiveness along with embracing diversity, equity and inclusion efforts as a competitive advantage,” he said.

Under his leadership, NHCC has solidified its position as the premier resource for Fortune 1000 companies aiming to maximize opportunities within the U.S. Hispanic market—a community of over 62 million people contributing more than $3 trillion to the national GDP.

Arabu’s professional journey began at NHCC as manager of administration & special events. Over time, he ascended to associate director, eventually becoming the organization’s youngest chief executive officer. Taking the helm during a turbulent period marked by financial challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic, Arabu spearheaded a transformational strategic plan focusing on the three pillars of success: people, products and processes. His efforts revitalized the organization, doubling its membership, tripling its revenue and quadrupling its engagements. NHCC’s financial health has reached unprecedented levels under his leadership, supported by new revenue streams and an expanded team.

In his role, Arabu has also pioneered innovative programs such as the Latino DEI Collective, which unites chief diversity officers to amplify Latino representation in leadership, and the Latino Executive Accelerator Program (LEAP), designed to prepare high-performing managers for senior roles.

“He works with individuals from all walks of life, at various career levels, in multiple industries and sectors, forming a coalition of individuals to serve higher purposes and communities,” said Arabu’s staff.

A recognized thought leader, Arabu frequently speaks at national conferences and corporate forums, addressing topics like Hispanic DEI, talent development and innovation. His insights have been featured in key platforms, including the Chicago SHRM keynote, Association Forum, and the “Corporate Cafecito” podcast. Eduardo’s leadership achievements have earned him numerous accolades, including the top 25 impact leader by DiversityMBA Magazine and multiple 40 under 40 honors.

Arabu is deeply invested in advancing Hispanic leadership beyond NHCC. He serves on national boards, including Tourism Diversity Matters and the Latino Executive Alliance, and has been a fellow with prestigious programs like the Aspen Ideas Festival and the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP). As a DELP fellow, he is pursuing Certified Association Executive (CAE) credentials to deepen his expertise.

“By 2030, one in four working-age Americans will be Hispanic,” said Arabu. “Therefore, entities must be more inclusive with their human resources, talent management, and other workforce development strategies to recruit, develop and retain their associates.”
