As the owner of Camo Crew Responsible Junk Removal, Weins, a two-time Titan 100, said he reignites his passion as a leader by prioritizing staying connected with the heart of the company – its people and its customers. “By being hands-on and talking to employees at all levels, I gain a deeper understanding of their challenges and successes,” he said. “These conversations keep me grounded and help me stay in tune with the day-to-day operations, fueling my enthusiasm for driving the company forward.”

This passion has fueled Weins’ energy as the company has undergone significant growth and transformation. In the past three years, Camo Crew Responsible Junk Removal shifted its focus to two core services and moved from an owner-centric model to a leadership team-focused approach. Weins led the charge to bring in a dedicated HR team to enhance a new company structure.

This led to the necessary decision to close the company’s industrial division, which accounted for 40% of the top-line revenue. Further clarity brought by an entrepreneurial operating system model sharpened the strategy for sustainable growth, resulting in a 50% year-over-year revenue increase in the firm’s remaining two divisions – residential and commercial.

“The combination of narrowing our service focus and empowering our leadership team has set us on a path of sustainable growth, ensuring we remain competitive and innovative in our industry,” he said.

Weins has been committed to sharing his industry knowledge, serving as the keynote speaker at various conferences, including the 2024 Waste eXpo, the 2024 Recycled Materials Association’s (ReMA) Best Young and Brightest Conference, Collier’s Annual Conference, and at various local chamber of commerce events. In addition, his podcast, “Trash Talk Business,” a platform to shape and build the junk removal industry, has grown to over 600 weekly listeners and more than 60,000 downloads.

In the last year, Weins said the greatest leadership lesson he has learned is the importance of staying focused on the long-term vision while trusting his leadership team to handle daily operations. “As chief executive officer, I steer the ship by setting the course on our ten-year vision rather than overseeing daily operations,” he said.
