Brent Brodeski

Founder & CEO

Savant Wealth Management

Location: Winnebago County

Founded: 1986

Industry: Wealth Management

When Brent Brodeski co-founded Savant Wealth Management, he had nothing more than a computer and $5,000 in cash. Since then, the company has grown to more than 450 employees and $20 billion+ in assets under management.

“While Brent would say he didn’t do it alone, he certainly had a major influence on the firm’s growth and direction,” said his colleagues.

Savant Wealth Management is a fee-only, fiduciary, registered investment adviser (RIA) with a vision to help build ideal futures for their clients, their team and the communities they serve. Thirty years later, Savant has 35 offices in 13 states and was named on the list of “Billion Dollar Magnets” by Accounting Today.

Under Brodeski’s leadership, Savant’s focus has been to help clients envision their futures by providing fiduciary advice and access to the most important tools and resources clients need on their financial journey. By offering additional services, such as tax and estate planning, the firm acts as a one-stop shop with the ability to offer a more holistic experience to clients.

Looking toward the future, Brodeski said the company’s focus will continue to embrace relationships. “What is increasingly important is that our team becomes wise counselors to our clients to help them navigate to their ideal future,” he said. “This requires a different kind of team member who embraces the soft issues that matter to our clients such as wellbeing, their values, their priorities, health, philanthropy and their legacy.”

Brodeski’s leadership does not stop with the firm. He is a co-founder and past president of Zero Alpha Group, an industry association and a co-founder of the Alliance for RIAs, a think tank of successful entrepreneurs seeking to proactively improve the future of the RIA industry. He is an award-winning advisor and CEO, too.

“Brent is a titan in the financial services industry because of his fearless pursuit of what’s next and his desire to lead innovation that has the potential to change lives for the better,” said his staff.

The journey has led Brodeski to think about what makes an individual successful. “There is not a single magic ingredient, but I think much of our success has been from lots of hard work, a few good ideas, teamwork, not hitting many potholes along the way, not taking too many left turns, recruiting the best people with an aligned vision and shared passion and the passage of time,” he said.

For his commitment to fostering the financial growth of his company, his clients and his team, Brodeski has been named a titan.

People have often asked how we have become so successful. There is not a single magic ingredient but I think much of our success has been from lots of hard work, a few good ideas, teamwork, not hitting many potholes along the way, not taking too many left turns, recruiting the best people with an aligned vision and shared passion, and the passage of time.
