The key to complex problem-solving in business is working together, says Joseph Curry. Sounds simple, but the details are important.

Curry puts that problem-solving process into action as chief operating officer for Universal Chain Inc., a logistics and supply company founded 40 years ago. Since its founding, UChain has expanded to all aspects of distribution/logistics support and in the process, has created a software division that provides solutions to support the process from inbound carriers through to outbound freight.
During the past 13 years, Curry has helped lead growth and processes to stay ahead of a rapidly changing industry by being flexible, nimble and devoted to meeting the needs of UChain’s partners, the company said. Growth over the past five years has been more than 20% annually, and the team-member count has increased from around 300 to nearly 1,000.

In 2021, Universal Chain expanded operations into Nebraska, Oklahoma and Maryland. In 2022, it moved into Florida and Missouri, expanding the company’s footprint from the West Coast to the Eastern Seaboard.
