Robby Paul

EVP, Contact Center & Collaboration

Anexinet

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Founded: 2002

Industry: Technology

After spending nearly 20 years as an employee in the Atlanta Tech Space, Robby Paul co-founded and was CEO of Light Networks, an Atlanta based IT services company. Showcasing leadership in the industry and expertise in contact-center-as-a-service (CCaas) and UCaas), the company was acquired by Anexinet in 2021. Paul now leads the firm as the Executive Vice President of Contact Center and Collaboration.

Anexinet is an IT services company that focuses on technology-enabled business transformation that drives value. The firm has a vision of helping customers increase their market share by improving how they engage with their customers, enable their employees, automate their processes, invest in technology and activate data into real-time insights.

“As Anexinet continues its expansion through acquisition, my opportunity to lead a growing number of people increases,” said Paul. “As others invested in me during my career development, I take seriously the responsibility to help others behind me find their path to success.”

Prior to founding Light Networks, Paul earned top honors as an account executive in the Atlanta tech industry for nearly 20 years for organizations like Presidio and NexusIS. He received an Impact Award while working with Nexus for his efforts in starting up and growing the eastern seaboard practice for Nexus to $100 million. Paul said, though, that his crowning achievement was starting a business with his lifelong friend and a company that was home to nearly 30 families.

“The 12 years of inception to acquisition was filled with the reward of leading people as they grew, got married and had children all while having a stable and safe place to work where they made a difference,” said Paul.

According to his colleagues, what Paul has built at Light Networks and how he continues to lead at Anexinet is based on his passion for frictionless customer experiences. “Robby believes in the golden rule — a client-first approach, and where possible, face-to-face communication is always better than a written email or text,” they said.

Paul said he leads with the motto from Andy Stanley that everybody in your organization benefits when you delegate responsibilities that fall outside your core competency. “Borrowing from Andy Stanley further, it is not even my responsibility to remove uncertainty as this is an impossible task,” he said. “The future will always be shrouded. It is my responsibility to bring clarity into the midst of the uncertainty to allow those that work with me to grasp their purpose and to help accomplish our collective goals.”
