Lorna Weir’s career has spanned multiple industries, starting in investment banking on Wall Street followed by practicing law. She found her calling, though, in healthcare marketing and advertising. Today, she is founding partner of Elevate Healthcare, spearheading the agency’s growth and success since the company launched in 2015.
“After several years on Wall Street, I went to law school to pursue a career in law. Early in my practice, though, I came to realize I appreciated the advocacy part, but it didn’t capture my full passion,” Weir said. “So, after dedicating tremendous time and effort to not one but two careers, I shifted to a third career — marketing and advertising. Starting over again, learning a new discipline, and at the same time being eager to accelerate my career meant I had to focus to the exclusion of many other things in my life. As I look back, though, not only was it the most critical risk I took, but it was also one I could not imagine not taking. In addition to having a career fueled by my passion for advocacy, I have been rewarded with a life rich with relationships, experiences and success.”
In 2015, Weir co-founded Elevate Healthcare with a clear vision: to create change and growth for businesses while providing innovative solutions to clients. Elevate Healthcare operates with a lean and experienced senior team of strategists, focused on delivering immediate value in a highly focused manner, the company said.
In 2022, the agency introduced a new, larger office space designed to foster collaboration and accommodate remote, hybrid and full-time occupancy. The move was accompanied by growth and an influx of industry talent, reinforcing the agency’s reputation as a sought-after workplace.
Elevate Healthcare has been named as a Best Place to Work in pharma marketing and earned the title of Small Healthcare Agency of the Year for the third consecutive year. The agency’s work has been recognized across the industry with numerous awards and accolades, including a Best-in-Show nod for work on the VELYS Robotic-Assisted Solution.
This is the second year that Weir has earned a spot on the Titan 100 list.
