When Sunny White launched her company in 2013, it was a virtual endeavor. That was long before the rest of the business world shifted to virtual operations in 2020, putting White ahead of the curve — where she has been for most of her professional life.
White is CEO and founder of Xavier Creative House (XCH), a healthcare creative agency specializing in pharmaceuticals, biotech and medical devices. XCH is a sustainable, virtual healthcare creative agency with a corporate social responsibility score in the top 1% of advertising and market research firms assessed globally by EcoVadis. In 2022, the agency was awarded Gold Medal EcoVadis status for its commitment to business practices that support the environment, ethics, labor and human rights and sustainable procurement.
“At XCH, we take pride in our deep understanding of ethics and compliance and have sponsored our entire team through annual training and certification,” White said. “As an agile virtual agency at launch and a women-owned business, certified since 2015, XCH has always made sustainability a top priority.”
XCH saw a 56% growth rate in 2021, enabling the agency to reach revenues of $5 million. Present staff count is up 300% from 2019 and is projected to continue to grow rapidly, adding multiple employees for every million dollars of revenue increase.
“As a futurist thinker, Sunny has led the agency from day one to offer bold and evocative client solutions with at least one option in each proposal that pushes the boundaries of the client’s thinking and comfort level,” White’s team said. “In a highly regulated industry like healthcare, it takes a great deal of knowledge and skill to stretch the creativity while remaining compliant. XCH gives equal weight to developing creative, technical, digital and regulatory expertise to position their clients’ brands at the forefront of their respective pharma, biotech and med-device industries.”
Over the past three years, White has been named on the 40 Under 40 list and her business was named one of the Best Places to Work in the Philadelphia Business Journal. She led the agency to multiple industry awards since 2018, most recently the 2021 Fierce Pharma Print for Consumer Marketing Award.
White enrolled in a pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing program at Saint Joseph’s University as part of her continuing education in her field and as a leader.
“Here I learn side by side with professionals from every aspect of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry,” she said. “Learning how my fellow students, some of whom were in my agency’s market niche, processed information and solved problems enhanced my ability to serve clients. I treat leadership as a journey, am always open to the contributions of those around me, and accept that there is always more room to learn.”
