Brian Sneed knows what it’s like to wear many hats. He began as an intern at Roeslein & Associates Inc., 25 years ago and has since moved to roles in accounting, marketing, business development and CFO and before becoming president and chief operating officer. Sneed has grown with Roeslein, bringing with him the vision to make the company the pre-eminent provider of engineering, manufacturing and construction services to their global client base.
Roeslein & Associates is a global leader in engineering, procurement, modular fabrication and construction of can making and industrial plant facilities while providing a wide range of technical services and engineered products to various process industries.
“Brian is a true organically grown Roeslein leader, and there is a great degree of comfort with having him lead the organization,” said CEO Rudi Roeslein.
Selected by his peers to serve as the president and COO, Sneed has been instrumental in driving new product growth and excellence in execution for the projects the company undertakes. His eagerness to stay humble, hungry and happy is what makes him a leader his employees respect.
“Once you step into a leadership role, you learn very quickly that to be effective, you have to let go of your personal ego and learn to celebrate the accomplishments of others,” said Sneed. “In many ways, as a leader, you transition from being a player to becoming the coach and the cheerleader. I have found this transition to be very rewarding.”
As a leader, Sneed said his main goal is to position the employee-owned company for long-term growth and prosperity. “I have personally witnessed the power of the ownership mentality and what It has meant to the growth and success of our organization,” he said. “I believe strongly that when employees have an ownership stake, it positively impacts all facets of the company and ultimately is reflected in higher quality products and services.”
Sneed has championed continuous improvement programs to instill a culture of employee ownership. One that he is most proud of is The Roeslein Way Program. The program gives employees a platform to focus on a higher purpose by encouraging employees to volunteer their time to local community service efforts. “Brian serves as the guiding member of the steering committee and inspires the company’s global employees to participate in charitable giving, community service, continued education, diversity and inclusion, environmental stewardship and wellness,” said his staff.
For his continued support and leadership, Sneed has been named a Titan.
