Ashwani Bhatia believes that continuous learning is critical. It’s why he establishes personal and professional goals to gain a sense of purpose and motivation as the CEO of BayCare Clinic, LLP. BayCare Clinic is the largest physician-owned specialty-care clinic in northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The clinic offers expertise in more than 20 specialties with more than 100 physicians serving in 16 area communities.
Bhatia brings 20 years of clinical experience and more than 10 years of experience in ambulatory and hospital leadership to his role. He has served as a Quality Medical Director, Physician Champion for Informatics, Director of Medical Education and administrator at various levels at Aurora BayCare Medical Center and the BayCare Clinic.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the company continued to demonstrate growth with Bhatia leading the charge. He helped guide the local community through the pandemic and served as a public voice of reason in local, national and international health circles. Internally, he formulated and implemented testing protocols and new workflows, among a host of other tactics while also serving on the front lines.
“Demonstrating leadership in all these facets of healthcare while serving on the front lines really defines his career,” said his staff. “He maintains a strong understanding of the ever-changing healthcare landscape in our country as well as the local market.”
Bhatia thrives by bouncing back to setbacks. “In my role as a CEO, taking calculated risks is imperative,” he said. Innovation and setbacks are intertwined, like two facets of a single coin.”
