FCA-Timber Creek

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Industry: Packaging

Steve Everett, Jr., president of Timber Creek, strongly believes both in the ideals of continuous improvement and paying it forward. “My drive comes from an awareness of my own weakness and imperfection and a desire to serve those around me better than I did yesterday,” he said. “As leaders we are entrusted with great responsibility and our attitudes and actions influence those around us.”

These ideals have aided this two-time Titan 100 well as the president of Timber Creek.
Timber Creek manufactures custom designed industrial wood packaging. The organization’s mission is to protect mission critical products and components for its blue-chip industrial customers during transport around the world.

“Since becoming a Titan of Industry, I have been dedicated to continuing our growth and building on our successful foundation by instilling the values of continuous improvement into our organization’s culture,” said Everett.

This growth has entailed a transition from being a private, owner-operated business to the unique combination of sponsor backed Private Equity. “The transition of ownership has given us tremendous opportunity to learn and implement a variety of process improvements,” said Everett.

An additional stride has been expanding the comprehension and utilization of key performance metrics and data into the day-to-day operations. “My efforts have concentrated on fostering a culture that recognizes data as a strategic asset, emphasizing its cultivation and strategic application,” said Everett. In addition, Everett has led his team through expansion plans of the company’s blue-chip clientele into new and promising regions.

Transformation is Everett’s specialty in addition to inspiring others and striving for excellence. “The gauge of my impact resides in the transformation I inspire – whether it’s the individuals I mentor, the positive shifts within organizations or the broader community’s development, these tangible outcomes summarize the essence of my efforts,” he said. “The intrinsic motivation to be better tomorrow, coupled with my eagerness to learn and share with others, propels me to continually strive for excellence and influence the next generation of leaders.”

As a second-year Titan 100, Everett said the recognition has impacted more than just his network and leadership style. “The recognition as a Titan 100 has meant a lot to me, but more importantly it meant a lot to my team,” he said. “This honor was a reflection of the work my team has done, and we have all propelled each other to be better every day.”

For the second year in a row, Everett has been named a Titan 100.
