LeafTech Consulting, a successful IT company that gives clients the service they need and deserve, was developed from McAree’s desire to deliver superior customer service. The company was built on four core values – character, communication, collaboration and results. “These values represent what we stand for and are critical to our success in the managed services and IT consulting industry,” said McAree.

A Hall of Fame Titan 100, McAree said one of his proudest accomplishments was creating a new C-Level role – Chief Happiness Officer. “My passion for promoting a positive work environment and putting my employees first led me to implement numerous programs and initiatives prioritizing employee satisfaction, engagement and motivation, but most importantly finding the right person to take on the role of LeafTech’s Chief Happiness Officer to continue prioritizing these critical changes,” he said.

The impact of these initiatives has been significant, said McAree. Employee satisfaction and engagement have increased, leading to improved productivity, innovation and quality of work. The firm has also seen a substantial reduction in employee turnover, which has saved the company time and resources in hiring and training new employees. “Employee morale has improved, creating a positive work environment that has helped attract top talent,” said McAree.

McAree said his five-year vision is as much about achieving financial success as it is about creating a work environment that fosters employee retention, excellent client services and personal well-being.

“It’s easy to get caught up in the seriousness of the job, but a sense of humor and relatability are essential qualities for a leader,” said McAree. “Our work at LeafTech is hard and stressful and often needs to be more appreciated, but at the end of the day, we’re all just people trying to do our best, and being able to laugh and have a little fun along the way is an integral part of that.”
