Since he was named a Titan 100 in 2023, Ryan Clark has spent the past year successfully navigating the acquisition of PeopleShare by PROMAN, a $4 billion-dollar company. “This significant event was not just a business transaction, but a validation of the growth and success we have achieved as a company,” said Clark. “Through the process, we ensured that the core values and mission of PeopleShare remained intact while aligning with PROMAN’s goals and objectives; now, we are among the top 15 staffing companies in the world in terms of revenue.”
PeopleShare connects employers with employees who hit the ground running from day one. The firm is an expert at mobilizing top local talent in roles ranging from accounting and administration to customer service and warehouse operations.
“As a titan of industry, my philosophy has always been that without growth, we risk stagnation,” said Clark. In addition to a year marked by an acquisition and expanding the business footprint, Clark also led his team to reach new markets and opportunities. The firm has taken significant forward-thinking initiatives by adopting AI technology to enhance the quality of services and continues to strengthen its position in the industry.
“As the CEO of PeopleShare for the past 18 years, this past year has offered me a profound leadership lesson in the power of collaboration,” said Clark. “For nearly two decades, I was accustomed to making decisions independently based on my own judgment and intuition, but now, I find myself in a new dynamic that requires a different approach.”
Learning to navigate the partnership and make decisions in collaboration with PROMAN was an adjustment, said Clark. However, the experience underscored the value of collaboration and diverse perspectives in decision-making. “I have learned that collaboration doesn’t mean losing control, but rather, it’s about creating stronger, more robust plans through shared wisdom and expertise,” said Clark. “This experience has reinforced my belief that collective wisdom is a powerful tool for growth and success.”
Clark has also shifted his focus as a leader to foster an environment that nurtures the next generation of titans, specifically with development, both internally and externally. Internally, the firm has concentrated on career pathing and career days, allowing team members to visualize their potential growth within the company.
Externally, Clark and his team have partnered with development companies to run an apprenticeship program in Pennsylvania. “By hiring apprentices, we are providing opportunities for hands-on learning and practical experience, crucial for the development of future industry leaders,” said Clark. PeopleShare has also partnered with Liguori Academy to hire and mentor students.
“We measure the impact of these initiatives through the progress and success of our team members and the apprentices we hire,” said Clark. “Seeing them grow, develop new skills and advance in their careers is the most tangible proof of our efforts.”
