Shaney Salomon’s entrepreneurial journey is deeply rooted in her family’s history of entrepreneurship. Coming from a long line of business owners, Salomon had always envisioned creating her own enterprise. This aspiration became a reality while she was working at OpenText as the director of SAP Global Services.
During this time, she identified a significant opportunity in the professional services space. Recognizing the potential to specialize in a niche market focusing on SAP content management solutions, she founded Optima ECM Consulting in 2009.
Optima ECM Consulting is not just a consulting firm – it’s a bridge between humans and technology. The firm’s specialization lies in empowering companies to fully harness the benefits of SAP solutions to boost their operations and customer experiences, stay competitive, and adapt to rapidly changing markets more effectively. Their vision is to remain an innovation-forward, SaaS and cloud-based technology company focused on business realms.
Driven by a profound commitment to excellence, Salomon has built the firm on pillars of delivering high-quality professional services while simultaneously nurturing a caring environment for both clients and employees.
“Her leadership philosophy centers on the belief that a successful business must operate with integrity and a dedication to the well-being of its team and clientele,” said her staff. “This approach has not only cultivated a positive workplace culture but has also solidified Optima’s reputation as a top-tier provider in the niche SAP consulting market.”
Under Salomon’s leadership, Optima ECM Consulting has expanded beyond traditional ECM solutions to include innovation in SAP Spend Management, S/4 HANA, and custom development. She also launched Optima Simple, which brings packaged services and bundled offerings to Optima clients. The company anticipates 35% growth in revenues in 2024.
Salomon led the firm to distinguish itself as a WBENC certified woman-owned business enterprise. She has been recognized as an ATHENA award nominee and an ASU Sun Devil 100 recipient.
“Resilience stands as the cornerstone of my leadership philosophy and is foundational to my approach at Optima,” said Salomon. “The ability to withstand and rebound from challenges is not just a trait but a necessity in the volatile business landscape.”
As a leader, Salomon said the importance of community engagement cannot be overstated. “Giving back and supporting our community enriches our collective experience and strengthens our connections, reinforcing the fabric of our societal impact,” she said. “Principles such as resilience, vision, integrity, adaptability, empathy, and community focus are what I champion in both my personal and professional life.”
