Taking ownership has always been a core value for Brynn Scarborough. It is a value that she works to instill in her leaders and employees to ensure that each person operates as if the business were their own.
With a 12-year tenure at JK Products & Services, Scarborough has led the company through an acquisition, professionalization, and infrastructure expansion to allow the firm to enter new market verticals in the Health & Wellness space, modernizing from its initial focus on the manufacturing of commercial tanning equipment.
Over the years I have been faced with many challenges, from reorgs to a pandemic, and each time I find new inspiration to rise above and learn more as a leader by overcoming obstacles, said Scarborough. Leading a company over the last five years has been a challenge, to say the least, and we continue to learn and face challenges every day, however, experience has taught me important lessons over the years.
The JK Group is the leading provider of technology and innovation for the purpose of enhancing longevity, lifestyle, and well-being through industry-leading brands like Wellsystem, Reviiive, Ergoline, and more.
We are leaning hard into the space of autonomous wellness and in five years we will be the global leading manufacturer of wellness equipment for fitness, hospitality, and boutique wellness as we continue to grow our footprint, said Scarborough. Integrating wellness, health, and longevity into the daily lifestyle of our customers is our goal, making wellness applications accessible, cost-effective, and high quality.
Scarboroughs achievements have led to numerous speaking engagements and accolades, including a feature on Women in Wellness in Authority Magazine and a spotlight on the Women in Life Sciences podcast. She was named a global wellness ambassador by the Global Wellness Institute and serves as a board member for the Helen Gordon Davis Centre for Women.
Moving from the only female executive at the company to growing a fully diversified leadership team has made space for others to achieve success, said Scarborough. I believe in propping the door open and building bigger tables where women and minorities are not fighting for the single seat allocated to them but operating in abundance based on skill set and acumen, she said. Regardless of pedigree, or expectation, the team I have built and the adversity I have overcome has made me a formidable leader who most importantly, grows other leaders.
