Jeffrey McKown entered the video production industry due to the influence and guidance of his father. During his high school years, his dad worked in live remote production, and he helped him whenever he could. He remembers spending countless weekends and evenings with him on shoots, learning the ropes of lighting, camera angles and editing techniques.
His passion for live production inspired himhe loved that his father loved his job, which resonated with him. Through his mentorship, he gained valuable knowledge and skills, unknowingly laying the foundation for his journey into the world of video production.
His career has included roles such as coordinating the CBS Sports shoot during the 2001 Super Bowl, serving as the vice president at Tampa Digital Studios, moving up the ranks at Company Man Studios, and ultimately, as general manager and now president at Diamond View.

Once McKown took the helm, Diamond View strengthened and expanded its roster of leading clients to include the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NASCAR, Expedia, WWE, and many more–all brands eager to share emotionally impactful and true to life stories of their successes born from key players in the sports and entertainment industries.
Under McKowns guidance, Diamond View also expanded its prowess to include virtual production with the launch of V?: a 10,000-square-foot virtual production studio home to one of the worlds largest LED volumetric stages. Using the studio to amplify its already high-quality video content, Diamond View continued its legacy of awards wins, most recently earning its fifth Emmy Award in the sports story – short form content category for their NASCAR campaign The Greatest Finish. Other trophies and honors on the companys shelf include ADDY awards, Clio awards, and best of small business awards.
In his leadership roles, McKown said that he relies on his ability to adapt quickly and utilize strong communication skills. Adaptability is crucial in a rapidly changing world, allowing leaders to navigate uncertainties and pivot strategies effectively, he said. Strong communication skills ensure that leaders can convey their vision clearly, inspire their teams, and build trust and transparency within their organizations.
