Paola Bianchi Delp’s journey to launching CareNu is a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit, visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to revolutionizing healthcare delivery. She was exposed to entrepreneurship in childhood witnessing her parents’ dedication and work ethic as successful business leaders and pillars in their community.
During her career, she had a reputation of being in leadership positions within various healthcare organizations, which have been pioneers or leaders within their specific segments ranging from health plans to hospital systems. CareNu’s creation began with her pivotal role within Chapters Health System, where she was brought in to lead strategic initiatives aimed at transforming the organization’s approach to patient care.
CareNu is the nation’s leading high-needs accountable care organization delivering innovative risk-bearing programming for patients with advanced chronic illness, and home-based primary care. CareNu is a data-forward organization using analytics to revolutionize care delivery for the medically vulnerable and their families. The organization serves patients in seven states and approximately 35 counties.
In the midst of COVID-19, Paola saw an opportunity to take Chapters Health to the next level by establishing CareNu — a risk-bearing, integrated delivery system. With a clear vision, she embarked on a journey to create a groundbreaking model that would revolutionize the way healthcare is delivered. Under Bianchi Delp’s leadership, the organization announced the award of its own health maintenance organization license to launch SECUR health plan, its own Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan.
“At the heart of CareNu’s success is Paola’s dedication to innovation, quality and patient-centered care,” said her staff. “She instills a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement within the organization, fostering an environment where team members are encouraged to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.”
Bianchi Delp’s success has led to accolades including recognition as a 2024 Tampa Bay Business Journal businesswoman of the year honoree, recognition as a 2024 Modern Healthcare top woman leader, and a conference speaker for Modern Healthcare’s women leaders in healthcare.
“In every leadership role I have undertaken, I found that bringing together diverse teams and encouraging them to think creatively and work collaboratively leads to groundbreaking solutions and extraordinary outcomes,” said Bianchi Delp. “By cultivating a culture of open communication and mutual respect, I inspire my teams to challenge the status quo and push the boundaries of what is possible.”
