Sandra Rosa joined Syniverse as the chief human resource officer after 20 years of HR experience, including roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Santander Bank. She transitioned to Syniverse in September 2023 and has already made significant contributions to the firm.

Within a month of joining Syniverse, Rosa instituted a flexible paid time off policy for employees and spearheaded a new diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) program aimed at transforming the organizations approach from mere representation to fostering authentic human connections.
Rosa has reimagined HRs role to significantly enhance the organizations business success. Under her leadership, her team collaborates closely with business units, focusing on workforce planning, talent development, mentoring and networking. She emphasizes the importance of understanding the businesss financials and expected outcomes, enabling her team to make informed decisions that align with organizational goals.
Rosa is deeply committed to fostering authentic and meaningful connections among Syniverses employees worldwide, said her staff. A key part of her vision is a robust diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiative, focusing on hiring top-tier female talent for key tech roles. She is also spearheading the launch of a womens networking group to facilitate relationships and foster engagement within the company and introducing a mentoring program for women designed to provide development opportunities and accelerate career growth.
A true leader in the community, Rosa serves as the board chair for The Concilio, a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering Latino families. Additionally, she is a member of emPOWer, a networking and knowledge-sharing group for executive women in Central and North Florida. Her involvement extends to the national board of directors for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and the Hispanic C-Suite Council (HC3).
In her various leadership roles, Rosa said she has the ability to deliver difficult messages in a constructive way. I can communicate honestly and effectively, even when the news is tough, while still maintaining positive relationships, she said. By framing conversations with empathy and support, I help others understand and accept necessary feedback or information without feeling attacked or demoralized.
She also relies on adaptability and integrity. Being flexible and open to change, able to navigate and lead through uncertainty and disruption is essential as a leader, said Rosa. A strong leader must demonstrate honesty, ethical behavior, and consistency between words and actions, fostering trust and respect.
