Since he was named a Titan 100, Brent Brodeski’s greatest leadership lesson surrounds the importance of re-making himself to be the leader the firm needs in the next stage of growth versus the leader he was to get his company, Savant Wealth Management, where it is today.
“In the past, I had to reinvest myself, essentially fire and rehire myself, every five to six years,” he said. “I now need to remake myself approximately every three years to refine my focus.”
As the founder and chief executive officer of Savant Wealth Management, a nationally recognized powerhouse serving individuals, families, and institutions across nearly 50 locations, Brodeski has overseen the transformative growth of the firm, leveraging both organic strategies and acquisitions. In 2023 alone, the firm acquired 11 companies, including nine wealth management firms and two accounting firms, with plans for six more acquisitions in 2024. This expansion has doubled Savant Wealth Management’s annualized revenue and client base, providing increased scale, geographic reach and talent density.
He has reorganized the firm’s organizational structure to position Savant Wealth Management to be able to grow from $200 million to $500 million in revenue by the end of 2027. The goal is to then double again by the end of 2030.
Brodeski’s emphasis on forming partnerships with individuals he respects and admires ensures that the firm maintains its core mission while accelerating growth. His vision is clear: to improve one million lives and help 2,500 employees achieve millionaire status.
His leadership extends to fostering alignment among employees. He ensures that all team members share the firm’s vision, values and culture, creating a unified workforce committed to delivering excellence. “Everyone wants to be successful and contribute to our collective success,” Brodeski said. “By providing a framework to help them get clear on what they need to do to assure they help move our dial to improve one million lives, we have increased alignment and optimized our collective focus.”
As a result, Brodeski, a two-time Titan, has implemented an innovative leadership development process at Savant Wealth Management, providing clear role definitions, measurable success metrics and regular feedback.
As Savant Wealth Management evolves into a national firm, Brodeski has redefined its hiring practices and organizational structure. By embracing technology, he has enabled seamless collaboration across diverse locations, centralizing support functions while allowing teams to thrive remotely.
He emphasizes the importance of collective success, drawing inspiration from the proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together.”
