Recognizing 100 CEOs & C-level Executives

Carven Blanck, chairman and chief executive officer of Muza Sheet Metal Co., said he celebrates successes by recognizing and celebrating both big and small wins. “I’ve always believed a true leader doesn’t just produce goods; they create opportunities, foster innovation and build a stronger community,” he said. “By motivating the workforce to embrace the vision, it transforms raw materials into the foundation of a thriving business and society.”

His leadership has served the company well from the time he started as shop manager in 1998. When Blanck started at Muza Sheet Metal Co., an architectural sheet metal company, he knew ownership could be in his future and his entrepreneurial spirit has been instrumental in his growth and success in the company.

He was quickly promoted to project manager, then vice president in 2003 where he became a partner in the business. In 2011, he became president/chief executive officer, owning 50% of the company alongside his brother, Sam. Since then, the company’s strategic investments have expanded Muza’s operation. The company’s equity has grown 4,100%, the number of employees increased from 40 to 185, and two new locations have been opened – one in Oshkosh and one in Windsor, increasing the footprint to 160,000 square feet.

“Carven stands as a titan in the sheet metal industry not only due to his strategic initiatives but also because he places his employees at the heart of the company’s success,” said his staff. “He sees them as the company’s most important asset, investing in their development through education, training and growth opportunities.”

Blanck was instrumental in creating an apprenticeship program that has helped create generations of skilled workers. His dedication extends beyond his own company; he serves on various committees dedicated to improving operations and wellness of the industry as a whole. His contributions to organizations like the Fox Valley Sheet Metal Contractors Association and the Fox Valley Sheet Metal Workers Health Fund benefit contractors and union employees in the area.

His efforts have landed Blanck and the company recognition as the Wisconsin manufacturer of the year, the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce small business of the year and the Wisconsin Mechanical, Sheet Metal, and Insulation Industries contractor of the year.

“I like to stay connected to the ‘why’ and regularly revisit the company’s mission and vision while reflecting on the positive impact Muza has on its customers and the community,” said Blanck. “Setting ambitious goals by creating challenging yet achievable goals that push the company and its employees to grow and innovate fuels my passion.”
