While at General Motors Licensing Agency, Steve Bobowski’s role as president tasked him with bringing in new clients, which led him to approach Dale Carnegie Training. Despite having read Dale Carnegie’s books, Bobowski had never taken a class. When advised to experience the training firsthand, he enrolled and discovered that the program encapsulated the very principles he had been teaching his team for two decades.
In 2008, when the Wisconsin and Upper Peninsula of Michigan territory became available, Bobowski seized the opportunity and purchased the franchise. For the first eight years, he managed both his role at General Motors Agency and the Dale Carnegie business. By 2016, he dedicated himself exclusively to Dale Carnegie, propelling the franchise from mid-tier rankings to being the top performer within the organization.
Dale Carnegie Wisconsin provides training that enhances individual and business performance through a focus on leadership skills, people skills, communication skills, sales skills and relationship building.
Under Bobowski’s leadership, Dale Carnegie Wisconsin has developed innovative programs tailored to meet the specific needs of its clients. This focus on customized training solutions has resulted in measurable improvements in client performance and productivity. The company has also embraced technology to offer online and hybrid training options.
As a result, Bobowski was selected by his fellow Dale Carnegie classmates for the Dale Carnegie highest award for achievement. “I remain deeply aligned with the mission of Dale Carnegie—to transform lives through effective communication and leadership. I regularly reflect on the impact the company’s training has on individuals and organizations, keeping the purpose front and center – this fuels a sense of fulfillment and drive,” said Bobowski.
According to his staff, Bobowski stands out in the industry due to his vision and impact. “Steve Bobowski’s story is a testament to how leveraging past leadership experiences, embracing continuous learning, and fostering community engagement can lead to remarkable business success and transformation,” said his staff.
In the community, Bobowski is the chairman of the City of Franklin’s economic development commission, contributing to local economic growth and development. He also serves on the board of directors for the South Suburban Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of various business alliances, including the Waukesha Business Alliance and the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, Bobowski gives back by providing free training to individuals who have lost their jobs, demonstrating his commitment to community support and workforce development. “By mentoring emerging leaders and empowering my team, I share my passion through leadership,” said Bobowski. “My investment in others’ growth and success naturally spreads enthusiasm, as team members feel supported and inspired.”
