As a titan of any industry, you have to want to continue growing both personally and professionally, said Mark Hanoski, a two-time Titan 100. “A true titan understands he/she is not the smartest person and realizes the importance of surrounding yourself with strong, passionate, educated people,” he said. “Meeting with other titans has helped me refine our company’s culture to where it has inspired every member of our team to believe in themselves and the mission of our company.”
As the owner of Premier Medical Staffing Services LLC, Hanoski said that the past year has focused on redefining the company’s culture. “We all know that the only constant in life is change, and how we react to that change defines who we are as a person and a leader,” said Hanoski. “I believe I have instilled this in my team, and we are ready to learn from our mistakes and pick ourselves up and move forward.”
In the past year, Hanoski said his greatest accomplishment was keeping the company focused and driven during a very changing and challenging time. High employee turnover in the healthcare industry has been a challenge in addition to industry flux.
“Being an effective leader today, I believe, demands a person that is confident and committed to empowering his/her team to be the best they can be while being focused on company goals,” said Hanoski. “I want my team to not be afraid to try something different or a unique approach to a challenge while knowing that I will always have their back.”
Under Hanoski’s leadership, the firm has acquired new work-type opportunities, such as supporting clients with staffing from the life sciences sector and some in the telehealth space as well. Hanoski is also actively seeking M&A opportunities to continue to grow the company.
Along with investing in technology, the firm continues to invest in its corporate staff. “Investing in our staff is an investment for the company’s future,” said Hanoski. “Professional growth of our team in education and mentorship will allow them to advance themselves to better serve our community.”
According to Hanoski, a great leader must always share the “why” for what is expected from employees. “Sharing the ‘why’ behind the metrics in running a successful business and being a good listener to work together and make and exceed those metrics is a real gift of a great leader,” he said. “Listening to your employees and helping them with the tools and accommodations to make them successful is so important.”
