In 2022, Maity was brought into Fincantieri Marine Group as the chief information officer, a role that marked a significant leap in his career. Here, he was entrusted with the massive responsibility of driving digital transformation and modernizing manufacturing operations for one of the world’s leading shipbuilders, particularly in support of a $12 billion, 15-year government contract with the U.S. Navy.
His entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he executed over 6,000 hours of strategic planning, modernized IT infrastructure, and implemented cutting-edge cybersecurity measures, all while managing a diverse, global IT team.

His strategic investments in cloud environments, network micro-segmentation, and SAP S/4HANA deployment have not only improved scalability and security but also positioned the organization at the forefront of technological innovation in shipbuilding.
