When Brian Ollech joined Network Health in 2017, the firm was embarking on a financial turnaround, working to repair its relationship with regulators and trying to improve its corporate culture.
“It was a very challenging time for our organization, and Brian’s leadership was vital to our improvement,” said his staff. “Brian is a creative and talented financial professional who has spent his entire career leading financial teams and participating on senior leadership teams developing short- and long-term plans to drive organizations through acquisitions, leadership changes and turnaround efforts.”
Network Health is a local partner delivering an exceptional health insurance experience with a mission to create healthy and strong Wisconsin communities.
At Network Health, Ollech laid out a clear and executable plan to complete a financial turnaround in three years. Under Ollech’s leadership, Network Health has seen tremendous growth in its membership and revenue for the past three years, exceeding $1 billion in total revenues one year ahead of its long-term financial plan. “Through strategic investment and overperformance to our annual, we have increased our capital position, improved our risk profile and expanded our market share and quality rankings,” said Ollech.
Since Ollech’s arrival, Network Health has earned Medicare’s highest rating of 5 stars for Medicare Advantage plans for three consecutive years. The firm has also improved from the sixth position to the second position in the State of Wisconsin’s Employee Trust Fund Plan, all while growing membership by 25 percent.
Ollech has been a key leader in the company culture turnaround as well. “His title is officially chief financial officer, but he is also our chief fun officer,” said his staff. “He leads with humor, energy, transparency, and emotional intelligence; and he is the first to offer ideas for improved engagement and having fun at work.”
His efforts have led to accolades including the annual community service award at The Warranty Group for his involvement with their partner school in the inner city and volunteering time to youth sports. Ollech also received the national volunteer award from the Insurance Accountants and System Administrators’ organization for his work in establishing a Chicagoland chapter and making it a leading growth chapter.
“Personally, I continue to look for new opportunities to grow and learn beyond my current role and responsibilities to ignite and fuel my passion for the business and learning,” said Ollech. “I find learning new skills and being challenged as FUN and strive to share the goal of working hard and having fun as key aspects to being engaged and passionate about our mission and values.”
