Titan 100 Alumni Spotlight

As a Titan of industry what are some key strengths and unique selling points of your company and what do you believe sets your organization apart from your competition?

We help business owners understand how to use finance to make sound business decisions. We help them implement strategy, creating plans that work in the present and future. This allows us to help business owners determine if the decisions they are making today impact their short and long-term goals We help them get out of the day-to-day operations and grow their companies, so they can work on the big picture items that they want to achieve.

Describe your company culture. What makes your company unique?

I believe in mentorship and allowing people to make mistakes. Our brain learns valuable lessons when we acknowledge and move forward from mistakes constructively. For people reading this and thinking, “Does that mean our financial statements will be wrong?” No, that is not what I mean. We allow team members to try new things. As a person, part of the journey is learning and accepting successes and failures. We allow people the opportunity for growth. We are sponsoring a women’s business anthology book where women, locally and nationally, are sharing business stories to open doors and opportunities for the next generation.

Describe your leadership philosophy. How are you developing the next generation of leaders?

Currently, we are working on an anthology book called “The Unsung Heroines of Business”. This book is focused on the business stories of women who are successful in their industries and took paths not travelled by others. As women, we do not share our stories as often or as proudly as many men. It is critical that we share our successes and failures, so the next generation can understand that success includes failure along the way. People are not born successful; we all fail at times and learn important lessons.

What excites you most about the future direction of your company or industry?

The finance industry is such an exciting place to be right now. Finance is about understanding the data and using the data to make good business decisions. Some finance people are afraid that artificial intelligence (AI) will replace us. What I like to say is that we are in the Star Trek era. Programs and AI are great at handling the data, but people will always be needed to understand what decisions to make from that data. We can spend more time on solutions to problems, rather than compiling data to tell us the problems. It is an amazing time to be in the position to help organizations understand what AI can do for them.

Can you describe your company’s approach to corporate social responsibility, and how you are making a positive impact in your community or beyond?

We are a women led company and as such we are working to empower the women in our company in their careers and their own businesses. We are also launching the She LED Badass podcast with Gabriella Ramirez Arellano. Covering many topics and focusing on how women and men can elevate each other in the workplace.

Can you tell us about any upcoming product launches or innovations that you are particularly excited about?

In 2025, Acumaxum is launching a new education program for business owners and other C-Suite team members to learn more about profitability, production and price. These 3 drivers are some of the most impactful things that companies need to understand for better cash flow and business success. We are very excited about this program and will be launching a protype to a small audience in January of 2025. This program has the potential to reach more people and help them gain a better understanding of the impact financial knowledge has on business growth.

How do you ensure that your company is attracting and retaining top talent, and fostering a positive and inclusive company culture?

Our company is unusual because we offer part time employees full benefits. All of our employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) program, dental benefits, and all other health programs which we contribute to as a company. We want to make sure that all of our employees have access to these resources. We are also an EOS company, so employees directly contribute to the success of the company by having a voice in company initiatives and focus.
