Titan 100 Alumni Spotlight

As a Titan of industry what are some key strengths and unique selling points of your company and what do you believe sets your organization apart from your competition?

We believe our culture and our team sets us apart. We seek to empower the ambitions of our clients, as well as those of all of our people, attorneys and non-attorneys alike. That guiding star sets the tone for all that we do and distinguishes us in the marketplace from many of our peers. Following that approach, we have grown from eight attorneys in 2012 to more than 70 in 2024, increased our revenue by more than 10x, and been recognized as a top workplace for 5 years in a row, since 2019.

Describe your company culture. What makes your company unique?

As we seek to empower each member of our team, many great things happen. Each team members feels free to share their hopes and dreams, and what would lead them toward their personal and group fulfillment. We support each individual in pursuing these ambitions, and help them shape and channel them, both for their own good, as well as the greater good. This approach leads to many great results, which combine together to distinguish us in the marketplace. Among them: camaraderie, collaboration, a team orientation, and happiness, which lead in the end to differentiated client service. In a profession where big business has become the norm our, clients and attorneys feel and believe that they are much than a number, which leads to great legal results, as well as satisfaction.

Describe your leadership philosophy. How are you developing the next generation of leaders?

We seek to include our entire team in building the next great law firm in Philadelphia. We enlist their feedback and ideas, and when a team member suggests a project or approach that would enhance the firm, we give them the support and resources to make it happen. The next generation of leaders run or participate at high levels in our functional committees, such as marketing, IT and professional development. We solicit their input on key recruits and seek their thoughts in our interview processes. And, we look to the next generation to bring that special combination of fun, energy, enthusiasm and sophistication that RCCB has become increasingly known for.

What excites you most about the future direction of your company or industry?

We are excited about our next generation of leadership at the firm, as they truly buy into our philosophy and work to propel us to greater heights. Given their importance to our future, we invest heavily in our future leaders. We recently organized a first of its kind retreat for more than 25 of our leaders in the Berkshires to solicit their views on topics of paramount importance to the firm so that we can integrate them into our future plans and fabric of the firm.

Can you describe your company’s approach to corporate social responsibility, and how you are making a positive impact in your community or beyond?

We prioritize corporate social responsibility through the multitude of volunteer activities and philanthropies that our people are involved in. As a firm, we have been members for several years of the Satell Institute, a leading think and do tank focused on social responsibility. We actively participate on the board of the Institute, which started in Philadelphia and is expanding to numerous other cities. We pay attention to the trends and challenges affecting the geographies in which we are located and seek to make a difference. We initiated Justice for the Hungry, a multi-year campaign for law firms to contribute funds, goods and volunteers to Philabundance, a Philadelphia not-for-profit fighting hunger. Our performance as part of this campaign was comparable to that of firms many times our size.

Can you describe a recent accomplishment or milestone that your company achieved, and how it has positioned you for future success?

We continuously enhance the breadth and depth of our firm, and that is reflected in the industry recognitions we receive. We have proudly been recognized by Chambers USA for Corporate/M&A & Private Equity and Banking & Finance in Pennsylvania: Philadelphia & Surrounds. Individually, Chambers has ranked us for Corporate/M&A & Private Equity, IP and Cannabis Law. In addition, we are continually named (with that number increasing year over year) to Best Lawyers in America as well as the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® and Rising Stars® lists. In 2024, we achieved significant recognition within the legal landscape of Israel, as evidenced by our recent top rankings in the Legally Israel 100 League Tables. In recent years, our attorneys’ work has earned them (and the firm) spots on the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best of the Bar, 40 Under 40 and Young Lawyers on the Rise rankings and awards.
